The unique crepe van run by Adrian Arnautu and his wife Liliana had to close its doors when the lockdown measures were imposed.

Now, the Bracknell crepe man hopes to bring pancakes to the town again on May 16.

He said: "We are hoping to open on May 16 if the parks open. As with probably many businesses out there, it will be very hard on us as summer is our best time for business, winter is considerably quieter and we don’t want to jump straight back in winter. If we dont open this summer it would be catastrophic for our business."

Residents in the borough will be able to order crepes online and pick them up at the van, if the parks reopen.

Al Crepes and Cafe will have an area where they order and where they pick up to ensure social distancing is in place.

He added: "I will also have pole signs so people know where they must stand at a safe distance. We are members of NCASS and there are good guidelines of how mobile caterers can ensure Covid-19 safe at the workplace, if anyone else is worried on how to work around this period, this is a good source of support."

The popular cafe serves Nutella based pancake options on its menu, with a choice of banana, strawberries, cinnamon, lemon and sugar and their classic 'Al Berries' which is the couple's favourite fruit, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries all-in-one.

They are not open for online orders at the moment.
