A PRIMARY school student from Caversham Heights has launched a new weekly podcast aimed at children asking adults in different jobs what they really do all day at work.

Seven-year-old Gwen Rose has launched her podcast, Gwen Gets To Work, with the help of her mum and stepdad.

In the podcast, Gwen asks adults in different jobs what they really do all day at work, and is geared toward children of primary age and, of course, their parents.

One episode featured Ronn Grant from 284 Media to find out what a reporter for a news channel really does.

Gwen asked important questions such as, “Is it scary sometimes, interviewing people for TV? Or mainly exciting?”

This followed the launch episode in which she interviewed a Lecturer in Fashion, Media and Marketing at a UK University, asking, “Is a lecturer the same thing as a teacher? Do you ever get bored at work?” And discovering that she gets to wear fashionable clothes, go to Paris and spot famous people.

An episode will be released on Monday, May 4, featuring an artist.

Gwen said: “I am very proud of myself and it takes time to do but I get really excited when I start the call and then, well I just feel really happy when I see the comments people write for me in the reviews.”
