A KIND-HEARTED DJ decided to inject some energy into his street for last night's Clap for Carers.

Darren Latimer from Crowthorne got his whole street dancing last night on Thursday, April 23, with a live DJ set from outside his house.

A video posted on his Youtube channel shows the DJ blaring out some music and disco lighting to get his street pumped for showing their appreciation to the NHS and key workers.

He said: "Last week we felt our road needed a little extra energy into the Thursday appreciation Clap for the NHS and key workers. So this week with the help of Heart FM’s Global Radio Brand, we helped lift the energy in our street by adding some Music and Lighting.

"We want to thank for of the NHS staff, and key workers who we will forever be grateful and show gratitude."

If you didn't know by now every Thursday at 8pm the UK stands outside their homes or in their gardens to give a round of applause for NHS staff battling the coronavirus.

Delivery drivers, supermarket staff, care workers and bin collectors are among those honoured every Thursday.
