VITAL personal protective equipment (PPE) has been stolen from Frimley Park Hospital amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Surrey Police officers were called to the hospital on Thursday, April 9, following reports of a burglary.

The theft is believed to have taken place between 6.50am and 7.30am on March 31.

The force has released a number of CCTV images if people they would like to speak to in connection with the burglary.

It comes after Frimley Park Hospital had a number of items stolen, such as cleaning products and PPE valued at around £200.

There are a total of three suspects, including one man and two women.

The man is described to be in his late 30s, 5’10, with a 'scruffy appearance' wearing a woolly hat, tracksuit bottoms and a heavy jacket.

The first woman is described as white, between 35 to 40 years old, 5’6, with long brown hair and a scruffy appearance.

Finally, the second woman is described as afro-Caribbean, between 30 to 35 years old and of a heavy build.

Investigating Officer PC Heather Milne said “We are really keen to speak to the people in these pictures in connection with this burglary and we are looking for the public to help us with this investigation.

“In any circumstances, but in particular given the current climate, it is completely unacceptable a hospital has had vital safety equipment stolen.
