AN ATTEMPTED burglary in Binfield has led to police to appeal for witnesses.

A man in his fifties spotted a group of men trying to break into a home on Arthurstone Birches, Binfield, on Thursday, April 9.

He confronted the men, who then chased him to his house, throwing a potted plant through the man's front window before feeling the scene in a silver estate car.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following an attempted burglary in Binfield, Bracknell.

"At 7.15pm on Thursday, April 9, the victim, a man in his fifties, spotted a group of around five men attempting to break into a property in Arthurstone Birches.

"The victim confronted the group and was chased back into his own property, also on Arthurstone Birches.

"One of the offenders then threw a potted plant through the victim’s front window and they all fled the scene in a silver estate car, turning right onto Forest Road (B3034) and heading into Binfield village.

"Nothing was stolen during this incident and no one was injured.

The offenders are all described as men in their twenties, all wearing balaclavas and dark clothing.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Dennis Hicks, based at Loddon Valley police station said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident, or anyone who may have dash-cam footage or saw the silver estate car driving through Binfield to please get in touch.
