FAMILIES have been sharing messages of thanks to support bin crews during the coronavirus crisis.

Refuse collectors in Bracknell have felt deeply touched by the kind messages and colourful rainbow drawings left on top of bins.

Key workers up and down the country have been committed to delivering to the nation during the Covid-19 pandemic, from the health professions in the NHS to waste management services and recycling collectors at Re3.

Councillor Mrs Dorothy Hayes MBE, chairman of re3 Joint Waste Disposal Board, said: “We are overjoyed to receive such encouraging and warm messages from the community.

Recycling Centres in Bracknell and Reading are temporarily closed but dry recycling collections as well as bottle banks are operating as normal across the re3 area.

If bottle banks are full, Re3 is asking residents not to leave glass on the floor as this is classed as fly-tipping.
