DECISIONS on whether one of the biggest race events of the year will go ahead or not are still yet to be made.

Ascot Racecourse has already had to cancel all of its race meetings until the end of April due to the coronavirus crisis.

Racegoers who have bought tickets for Royal Ascot still do not know whether the June event will go ahead.

Ascot Racecourse posted a statement, which said: “We will provide information as soon as we possibly can but we are reliant on external guidance which for obvious reasons is not in our power to accelerate.”
