A LOCAL radio station has decided to remain on air throughout the coronavirus lockdown by hosting their show from the presenter's bedroom.

Matt and Perri Vaughan, radio show hosts for Radio 210, have decided to continue their radio show from the married couple's bedroom.

Radio 210, a small radio business, is a the only commercial station that broadcasts locally across Berkshire and Hampshire 24 hours per day, playing 80s and 90s music as well as providing local information.

Matt Vaughan said: "We’ve worked in some glamorous places together, such as the same ITV studio as Ant and Dec and even at the Sydney Harbour bridge, but I never expected to be working with my wife in our bedroom.

"On the plus side, it has encouraged us to tidy this bedroom at long last."

The radio hosts have also been encouraging listeners to get in touch with them, sharing their stories throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Perri Vaughan said: “I think it’s important that listeners know we’re in the same situation as them, as it helps them feel less alone.

"We like to reflect real lives... Our dogs and our 3 year old have interrupted the show many times by just storming in whilst we were talking on-air.

"It just adds to the fun and chaos."

Radio 210 can be heard through DAB, as well as their dedicated mobile app, Amazon Echo, their website website and via the TuneIn Radio app.
