FOOD fans in Wokingham have the spiciest eating habits in the county, according to an online food delivery firm.

The revelation comes as fast food delivery service Just Eat published its statistics for the eating habits of spice-loving Berkshire residents.

In order, the percentage of people buying the most spiciest food peaks with Wokingham at 18.47 percent of customers.

This was followed by Slough fast food fans of which 18.40 percent are ordering spicy foods, Reading eaters at 17.75per cent, Bracknell Forest at 17.72per cent, and Windsor and Maidenhead in last place at 17.42 per cent.

A spokesman for Just Eat said: "Analysis of millions of takeaway orders across the country shows where has the hottest palates when it comes to spicy food, crowning Wokingham as one of the hottest places in Berkshire.

"From korma to vindaloo and all things spicy, Just Eat has created an interactive heat map that lets you compare towns all over the UK and drill down to see the hottest location near you.

"In Berkshire, the spiciest town is Wokingham with 18.47 percent of orders containing at least one chilli symbol, the rating guide used by restaurants to indicate heat levels of a dish."
