From one house to another, residents will be able to tune in at 8pm online on Facebook and listen to 70's, 80s and 90s classic club anthems in the kitchen, bedroom or living room.

Tom said: "Let's call this a 'coronavirus party let's have a boogie' style thing.

"It is a way for everyone to have a bit of fun, as I am aware there is all this negativity going around."

The local DJ who works for Cosmic Events said many of the upcoming weddings have been cancelled because of coronavirus worries.

Where the company would have been working on a Friday night, instead Tom will be improvising by spinning the decks in his own home and live streaming it to thousands of people online.

He said: "I haven't done anything like this before, but so far the page has had 400 like and lots of people have shared it. However, anyone that requests heavy metal will be told to go away, cheesy music only.

"The idea was a spur of the moment thing as I was scrolling through Facebook. I thought why not just do it on there. I am a bit worried how it is going to work and how good the sound is going to be but I am looking forward to having a party."

His mum Lindsey explained how business will be tough on his company during the coronavirus pandemic.

She said: "I am so proud of him for turning a positive into a negative. I know business will be tough for him and others but a mention may just boost his spirits.

"He is a London DJ and local events company who has just had all his gigs and parties cancelled this weekend, so he has decided to give something back to the community. "
