The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court:

January 27:

ADAM THOMAS, 33, of Windermere Road, Reading, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order by not attending unpaid work on November 11, December 9, December 30, and planned appointments on December 12 and December 31. community order varied to comply with rehabilitation activity and unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £60 court costs.

AMANDA BASDEN, 39, of Russell Street, Reading, admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements by not attending appointments on November 15, November 20, December 5. Sentenced to seven days in prison as the defendant 'has a flagrant disregard for court orders'.

January 29:

NADIA CARROLL, 28, of Staverton Road, Reading, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order by not attending induction appointments on November 5, November 11, and November 18. Community order varied to include rehabilitation activity.

MONEY MILLS-CHANDLER, 20, of Blandford Road, Reading, admitted driving a vehicle without the correct licence in Bracknell on March 1, 2019. Also admitted allowing someone to use a vehicle with no insurance in Wokingham Road, Bracknell, on March 1, 2019. Fined £250 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge. Also ordered to pay £300 court costs. Disqualified from driving for three months.

MARTIN GERALD CROKE, 40, of Digby Road, Newbury, admitted criminal damage to a bust stop shelter in Lower Way, Thatcham in West Berkshire, on May 25, 2019. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £199.44 compensation. Also ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge.

CHARLES EDWARD, 39, of Ian Mikardo Way, Caversham in Reading, admitted driving a vehicle with the correct licence or insurance in Crown Street, Reading, on January 10, 2020. Fined £100. Eight points added to driving licence.

GERHARD SUTHERLAND, 37, of Bayford Drive, Reading, admitted drink-driving in Bath Road, Reading on January12, 2020. Found to have85mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £950 and ordered to pay £95 victim surcharge. Must also pay £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 20 months.

MACIEJ, CIECHANOWICZ, 40, of Brunswick Hill, Reading, admitted drink-driving in Castle Street, Reading, on January 11, 2020. Found to have 62mcg of alcohol in 100 ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Given a community order to comply with alcohol treatment and rehabilitation activity. Also ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 17 months.
