This Wokingham resident is the running to win the title of ‘Britain’s Best young Chef’.
Oliver Marlow, is a chef at the internationally-acclaimed Roganic restaurant in London is taking part in the semi-finals of the Roux Scholarship this week.
The competition, kickstarted by French culinary legends Albert and Michel Roux more than 30 years ago, aims to pick up on the most talented young chefs across the country.
The judges include Michel Roux Jr, Brian Turner CBE, and James Martin and many more Michelin-starred chefs.
Mr Marlow said: “I’m looking forward to the semi-finals, I sort of know what to expect now. I’m just going to be taking it as it comes on the day.
“If you’re thinking of taking part, definitely go for it - it opens so many doors in the industry.
“All the judges are very knowledgeable in the field and it’s also good at getting you to challenge yourself.”
The regional final is on Thursday, March 19. Competition winners will be rewarded with the opportunity to train in a three-star Michelin kitchen, anywhere in the world.
