Sleet could hit Swindon this afternoon – as temperatures almost touch zero.
The Met Office has forecast sleet from 4pm to 5pm.
A band of rain will sweep across the town from mid-afternoon to the late evening.
Sleet is also predicted for Thursday.
Elsewhere in the country there could be snow later this week.
Met Office chief meteorologist Frank Saunders said: “Later on Tuesday and early Wednesday, don’t be surprised to see some snow falling even in Wales and the south, although again most of any lying snow will be over hills.”
