A MAN who stole a car from a property and burgled another home has been jailed for two years and 10 months.

Jacob Trussler, 35, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count each of burglary dwelling, fraud by false representation and theft of a motor vehicle at a hearing on Thursday, February 13, at Reading Crown Court.

It is in connection with an incident on September 26 last year. in which Trussler took a car from the driveway of a property in Ennerdale Drive, as well as a burglary that occurred at a property in Glebe Road on October 9.

He then went on to sell some of the items that he took in the burglary on the same day.

Trussler was arrested on October 12 and charged the following day.

Investigating officer detective constable Nick Packham, based at Loddon Valley police station said: “I am pleased that Trussler pleaded guilty and will now spend time in prison to reflect upon his actions.

“Thames Valley Police take all reports of burglary and theft seriously. This behaviour is not acceptable and we will work tirelessly to bring offenders to justice.”
