POWER was lost across a number of areas in and around Bracknell over the weekend.

Some homes were left without power for almost 24 hours.

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks is reporting that in Crowthorne, homes are still without power following the disruption across the county.

SSE said homes in four areas in the RG45 postcode which covers Crowthorne are without electricity. This is expected to be restored by midday, after the power cut struck at 8pm yesterday.

A further 10 postcodes are also having problems in the RG40 area covering Bracknell and Binfield.

Here the power reportedly was lost shortly before 6am and an engineer is expected on site at 7.30am.

It is expected to be restored by 11am.

The disruption follows a number of issues over the weekend where home were affected right across the county.

Wokingham homes were worst hit in RG4 5BN as power was lost about 9am on Saturday and was restored by 4pm Sunday.
