Lyndsey Burns, manager of the day nursery, said her job is within their reach, “I want our apprentices to be ambitious about their careers with us and confident that our training and mentoring programmes will help them to develop, personally and professionally, within our organisation.”

Charlotte Thairs, Molly Weisberg and Orla Fullard are currently studying an apprenticeship course at the nursery and were presented with balloons, chocolates and flowers as part of the celebrations.

The day also highlighted the importance of young people taking on an apprenticeship course which enhances their skills and learning.

Molly said: "I love my job and I am very happy and proud to be a member of this team.
