WONDERING what to do with the kids in Bracknell this February half-term?

There are a range of activities and events on offer across libraries in Bracknell Forest, from meeting animals to having a sing song and dance.

It can be mind boggling to come up with ideas on how to keep your children entertained, so these free and cheap activities will definitely be ones to add to the calendar.

On Tuesday, February 18 Bracknell Library is hosting the usual 'Tots Time' with an hour of fun, songs, stories, bubbles and crafts from 10.30am to 11.30am.

There is no need to book and its £1.50 per child.

At Sandhurst Library, the afternoon will be jam packed with troll-tastic fun. At 2.30pm children will get to have fun making arts and crafts but you must book in advance.

Creative kids can keep occupied on Wednesday, February 19 at Whitegrove Library from 3:45pm onwards - perfect for 5-10 year olds and it’s completely free.

On Thursday 20th, the trolls will move to Crowthorne library, for another craft session, starting at 10:30am. £1.50 per child, book in advance at the library.

Bracknell Library will host a ZooLab for the Chinese New Year session where children can meet animals in a safe environment.

This hands-on workshop is all about the Year of the Rat and will help children to learn about nature and animals’ habits.

From 11am to midday, £3 per child, booking is required on Eventbrite.com

Friday 21st will see two different events at Bracknell Library.

In the morning, 11am-1pm, the recycling craft event will allow children to create imaginative crafts using recycled materials – the library will supply the materials and the ideas and then children can make something special to bring home. No booking is required and all children are welcome.

The event costs £3 each.

In the afternoon Explore Learning will offer a free taster session about building sentences, “Safari Sentences”, suitable for children in Year 1 and 2. Starting at 3pm for one hour. Free but booking is required on Eventbrite.
