A WOKINGHAM clinic is offering help to those who may have overdone the drinks or the drugs this New Years.
SMART, a charity helping those with addictions, will be setting up a free drop-in clinic on Wednesday evenings to help those who are worried they may be developing, or already have, and addiction to drink or drugs.
The clinics will be focussing on educating people about, and lessening vulnerable people's use of, alcohol and drugs.

Vikki Lake, Service Manager for SMART Wokingham said: “Often we overindulge at Christmas and New Year’s Eve and sometimes it can be excessive and detrimental to our health and sense of well-being.
"We might feel we are either drinking more than we should or taking drugs in excessive amounts and don’t know how to tackle it – either reducing it or cutting it out altogether.
"The Resolution Clinics are designed to find out whether you are drinking more than you should or taking more drugs than is advisable.

"It’s a non-judgemental community-based drugs and alcohol support service run by an approachable and friendly team available for residents of Wokingham.
"We hope that people will take up this offer and also feel supported in their decisions about substances which can really affect how we feel and the quality of our relationships at home and at work.”
Clinic sessions will be running on Wednesdays from January 8 - 29 from 6pm to 7:30pm.
