STILL reeling from his triumph on I’m A Celebrity last year, Harry Redknapp is taking to the stage to lift the lid on what life was really like in the Australian jungle.

During his three-week stint on the ITV reality series in 2018, Redknapp charmed millions of viewers with amusing tales about his life, and his love for Sandra, his wife of 54 years.

Now the star, who lives in Poole, Dorset, is likely reliving all the horror stories from his time in the jungle as the latest round of celebrities take on the epic challenge - to the delight of audiences watching at home.

And as well as sharing stories from his time in the jungle, the former football manager will be sharing anecdotes from his lengthy career as a professional football player and manager much closer to home in An Audience with Harry Redknapp at The Hexagon in Reading late next year.

Before taking on a career in football management, the 72-year-old played for Bournemouth and West Ham.

He and wife Sandra have two children - Mark and Jamie, who played under his father at Bournemouth and Southampton.

Tickets for the September 25, 2020, show are on sale now.

The 32-date tour will take in venues across the UK.

At the end of the evening there will also be an audience Q&A.

In I’m A Celebrity, Harry beat fellow contestant Emily Atack to the coveted title of King of the Jungle, while performer John Barrowman was third.

Redknapp, who had never watched the ITV programme before entering the camp, said afterwards: “I’m amazed I survived three weeks.”

As well as keeping the nation entertained with his tales, he also proved to be a worthy contestant when it came to Bushtucker trials, tackling an assault course, getting covered in rats and eating “delicacies” like a sheep’s brain.

Runner-up Atack said she was “honoured” to have been in the final alongside Redknapp, who she said was a “worthy winner”.

Redknapp’s final trial saw him lying down in an underground chamber while creepy crawlies and rats ran all over him.

The Hexagon is also offering superfans a chance to buy VIP tickets - meaning audience members can meet and greet the star, have a photo taken with the jungle king and pick up a signed photo to take home as a memory.

Tickets at available now for next year’s show at the Queen Walk theatre.
A regular ticket is priced at £37, while a VIP ticket comes in at £87.
