A DEDICATED man decided to walk five marathons with his dog and trusty Harris Hawk on his shoulder for a charity close to his heart.

Ian Rose from Bracknell completed the equivalent of 26.3 miles five times to raise money for Thames Hospices' Raise the Roof fundraiser.
The fundraiser was inspired to raise money for the hospice after his sister-in-law received support there.
He said: "Not only did I do the walk with my dog but I also stood outside Tesco in Martin's Heron with my Harris Hawk.

"I would like to give a big thanks to all that supported me. We raised the amount of over £1,200."
