THE final sentencing hearing for three men convicted of killing a father on an Oxford street has been delayed.

Last month Michael Yemane, 20, of South Bridge Row, Oxford, and Welid Solomon, 26, of Field Avenue, Oxford – were found guilty of murder.

Safeen Karimi, 28, of Hode Garth, Thame, was cleared of murder but found guilty of a lesser charge of manslaughter.

During their trial, which began in September at Oxford Crown Court, jurors were told that the 'savage' killing began just before 11.20pm on February 27.

An earlier fight between the victim Luciano Dos Santos Almeida and Yemane and Solomon was the catalyst which led to them leaving for reinforcements in a bid to 'mete out some retribution'.

Mr Almeida was then struck by a car driven by Solomon and stabbed multiple times at Southfield Road.

He later died from his injuries at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

The three men were all set to be sentenced at the same court on Friday.

This date has now changed and they are expected to learn their fates on Monday November 25 instead.
