READING Refugee Support Group (RRSG) is inviting everyone to join them as they celebrate their 25th anniversary in Reading Concert Hall, tonight (November 4).
The charity has been supporting Refugees and Asylum Seekers in the town since 1994 and is marking the milestone with a jam-packed evening of celebrations in one of Reading’s most spectacular venues.

Hosted by BBC Radio 3 presenter Fiona Talkington, the event promises to be a fun, thought-provoking and vibrant mix of stories, music, theatre and fashion.
A number of special guests will touch on different stages in the charity’s development, including a special address from the patron of the charity, Lord Alf Dubs.

The main event will be followed by After-show Drinks in The Victoria Hall, as the photography exhibition ‘Refugees of Reading’ by celebrated local photographer Salvo Toscano is unveiled for the first time.
RRSG’s work supporting some of the most vulnerable people in Reading was recently recognised by HRH Queen Elizabeth II, when the charity was given The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
The award is the highest honour a voluntary organisation in the UK can receive, and RRSG were one of only four Berkshire organisations to receive the award.
