BROWNIES from Tilehurst have been working hard to create a display to honour our fallen soldiers, this November.

2nd Tilehurst Brownies, based at United Reform Church Hall, have created a display as part of the Turn Tilehurst Red Campaign.

The display is made up of decorated plastic bottles and black foam to follow this year's theme of footprints and poppies which remembers the soldiers that never returned from D-Day.

The Brownie's display will be outside the church in Armour Road from November 1 and they are hoping their efforts may win them a prize.

This year's competition was sponsored by Teescroft Electrical Services and is open to all residents of Tilehurst, schools, shops and uniformed groups.

Many displays will be going up over the next week as part of the campaign which will run from November 1 until November 12.
