A WORLD cup rugby player and maths teacher is urging thieves to return his GCSE notes after his car was broken into in Maidenhead.

Will Greenwood works as a teacher at Wellington College in Crowthorne and made the public appeal on Twitter.

The 46-year-old who also coaches at Maidenhead Rugby Club, had his notes stolen from the briefcase of his car.

On Twitter, he said: "If you are the person who stole my briefcase from my car at Maidenhead Rugby Club car park - you will by now have found my ID.

"It has all my GCSE teaching notes for maths.

"Would be delighted if you returned it to the club - Thank you."

Mr Greenwood won 55 caps for England and went on three British Lions tours during his high flying career.

Some people responded to his tweet on a light-hearted note and said: "Sorry to hear that Mr. Greenwood. On a positive front thanks for making briefcases cool again."
