BRACKNELL’S TOWN CENTRE canopy has been closed off as people have been climbing on top of it.
The events area officially opened in March and is designed to be used for performances and acts.

But the Bond Square entertainment space was closed off by council bosses on Wednesday, September 25 over fears individuals could injure themselves by scaling the structure.
Town centre chiefs say the closure is only temporary, but physical barriers could be added next to the canopy before it re-opens.
Andrew Hunter, Director of Place, Planning and Regeneration at Bracknell Forest Council (BFC), said: “The canopy is designed to provide entertainment shelter and is not a structure intending for scaling, climbing or jumping on.

“We have been working with The Lexicon, local schools and the police to discourage this activity and there are signs in place plus CCTV for this purpose.

“We will continue to investigate and implement appropriate measures and would ask people not to climb on the structure for their own safety and wellbeing.”
