INDIE rock band Scouting for Girls will be taking their mammoth headline tour to Reading next month.

The band, well-known for big hits like She’s So Lovely, Elvis Ain’t Dead and This Ain’t A Love Song, will delight pop fans at The Hexagon on November 26.

As they celebrate a new album and new single, the three-piece band, who have been rocking the stage since forming in 2005, has launched a huge new live tour.

‘The Trouble With Boys’ tour will see the band play legendary venues such as London Shepherds Bush Empire and Manchester Albert Hall - and The Hexagon.

The chart-topping indie rockers’ new record The Trouble With Boys was released in September and is led by newly released single Grown Up.

It is described by the band as a “catchy summer anthem”.

Scouting For Girls said of the album: “We’re really proud of it and genuinely feel it’s our best collection of songs since our debut.

“Both albums really benefited from the extra time and care we spent writing and recording them. We can’t wait for people to hear it.”

Of their tour, they added: “Touring is our very favourite aspect of being in this band.

“Our 2017 anniversary tour was so incredible that we’re pulling out all the stops to beat it.

“We’ve got a handful of new tunes, some old fan favourites we haven’t played for years plus all the big singles. We can’t wait.”

During their last tour in 2017, Scouting For Girls played to more people than they’ve ever played to before, celebrating their 2007 debut album that went on to become triple platinum Number 1 and birthed the generation-bridging anthems of ‘She’s So Lovely’, ‘Elvis Aint Dead’ and ‘Heartbeat’.

The band consists of childhood friends from London, Roy Stride on piano and lead guitar and vocals, Greg Churchouse on bass guitar and Peter Ellard on percussion.

Having formed in 2005, they signed to Epic Records in 2007. They released their self-titled debut album that September and it reached Number 1 on the UK Albums Chart in 2008.
