GOLFERS clubbed together to raise over £6,000 for a children's charity close their hearts.

Sebastian's Action Trust held their annual charity golf day at Mill Ride Golf Club in Ascot on September 13.

In total, 50 players took part in the 18-hole course and raised £6,500 towards the Crowthorne charity which supports hundreds of families of seriously-ill children.

Golfers enjoyed a special brunch, a few games of golf followed by a dinner, a raffle and an auction in the clubhouse.

Jane Gates OBE, Sebastian's Action Trust chief executive, said: "The weather was beautiful, perfect for playing a day’s golf on a lovely course.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the players for taking part in such a great day and to Mill Ride Golf Club for hosting the fundraising event for us again this year.”

Participants could also win auction prizes included four ball games at Calcot Park Golf Club, St George's Hill Golf Club, Sunningdale Golf Club, North Hants Golf Club, Mill Ride Golf Club and Swinley Forest Golf Club.

There was also a golf hat signed by world famous golfer Rory Mcllroy, a golf lesson at Windlesham Golf Club and an overnight stay and dining voucher for the Casa Hotel, Yateley.
