NURSERY children made their voices heard by joining forces with hundreds of schools across Berkshire in last week's global climate change strike.

Eco-warriors from Greengables Day Nursery in Owlsmoor, Sandhurst made placards with environmental messages to learn about how they can protect their planet.

Children displayed their signs proudly outside the nursery to show their support for the cause, with messages about recycling and reducing single-use plastics.

Sylvia Condon, team leader, said: "We are very pleased to be successfully sharing this important message about a topic that will directly impact our children. They have a great deal of care and respect for the environment which is lovely to see, and bodes well for their adult lives.
