A WOMAN has been banned from owning horses for five years after admitted causing unnecessary suffering to three animals.
Jackie Hunt, of Marsh Street in Padgate, appeared at Warrington Magistrates' Court last Wednesday and pleaded guilty to five counts in breach of the Animal Welfare Act.
The charges included failing to investigate and address the causes of two horses' poor condition and a failure to provide the horses with adequate shelter.
The 35-year-old also admitted failing to ensure a third horse was provided with a suitable diet and/ or protected from pain, injury, suffering or disease.
Hunt was also ordered to pay £300.
