Poole Magistrates' Court
A MAN is due to appear at court today charged with pouring fabric conditioner into a fish tank and poisoning 49 tropical fish.
Benjamin Avill, of Waltham Road in Bournemouth, is accused of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and causing a poisonous or injurious substances to be taken by a protected animal.
Prosecutors from the RSPCA will allege the defendant, 36, poured the substance into a tank at a flat in Seabourne Road, Southbourne on May 8 this year.
Avill will appear at Poole Magistrates' Court at 2pm.
