TWO men armed with a hammer and a crowbar entered a Tesco store in Bracknell to steal cash and cigarettes.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the terrifying robbery, which took place at around 9.30pm on Sunday, August 18 at the store on Horndean Road.

The offenders were carrying a dark green crate, which they used to carry the stolen items.

It is believed they may have left the scene in a silver Mercedes car.

No one was injured during the incident.

Both offenders are described as men, with medium builds, dressed in dark clothing, face coverings and gloves.

One of the offenders was wearing a pink or purple coloured shirt underneath.

Investigating officer, DC Christopher Jamieson, of Maidenhead Force CID, said: "This was a particularly frightening incident in this store where members of the public were present.

"Luckily there were no injuries, but I would still very much like to hear from anyone who may have information regarding this incident.

"I am appealing for anyone who was in the area and saw or heard anything to get in touch with police.

"I am also appealing for motorists who may have any dash-cam footage that could have captured a silver Mercedes in the area at around the time that this incident took place.
