A DEDICATED college student has made her way through to the finals to be crowned Miss Teen Great Britain.
Louise Stace, 16, from Birch Hill in Bracknell is raising money for Cancer Research UK in honour of her auntie who battled cancer.
The beauty student from Bracknell and Wokingham college has passed the semi-finals stage and explained how the competition is helping her "confidence grow" further.
Louise said: "I do feel nervous as it is quite full on but everyone is in the same boat.
"The competition isn't so much about the beauty but about taking yourself out of your comfort zone and I think this is definitely a confidence boost for me."
The Miss Bracknell contestant explained how she experienced a dark place when dealing with her mental health and has used the competition as a platform to help others deal with their problems on social media.
She said: "I have had a tough time in the past, so when people see what I am doing through fundraising and posting on Instagram I can reach out to them and give them help and advise."
The Miss Teen Great Britain competition has thousands of 16-19 year-old girls enter to be in with a chance of winning £1,000, a modelling contract for a year and vouchers.
So far, the teen has raised £250 for Cancer Research and has raised awareness of the charity on the lead up to the Miss Teen finals.
Nicola Crandley, Louise's mum said: "I am so excited for her.
"She is stunning and a natural beauty and whenever we are out in public, we get people coming up to us saying she is beautiful."
Louise hopes to raise more money before the finals in October.
