HUNDREDS of pubgoers celebrated to drink different beers and cider to raise money for a very worthy cause.

The New Leathern Bottle in Jealotts Hill hosted a charity beer and cider music festival selling a variety of local ales and ciders.

Families enjoyed live entertainment and "superb" tribute acts from Elton John, Union Blue, Fleece Lined and more.

The pub arranged their own vintage horse box trailer serving refreshing beers and ciders on a festival inspired field, raising money for Alexander Devine Hospice.

In total, £190 was raised for the children's charity which the pub has supported as its chosen charity.

Wendy Levitt, pub manager said: "The rain kept off for a fantastic day and there was a fantastic bunch of talent."

Children played on the bouncy castle and had their faces painted by Creative Eye.

To round off the event, families enjoyed a tasty barbecue in the warm sunshine.
