RACEGOERS were in high spirits on Saturday despite blustering winds and showers battering through Ascot Racecourse.
Thousands of families and friends attended The Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup and Concert, expecting to see pop-stars Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, Go West and DJ Charlesy, but the concert was cancelled due to wind.
Despite this, racegoers got together to highly anticipated racing, betting and children got to play on fairground rides
Cheerleaders showcased their talents before greeting the 12 jockeys, before they set off to race at one of the biggest race calendars of the year.
The four jockey teams from Britain and Ireland, Europe, World and The Girls arrived in cycle rickshaws with crowds cheering them off.
Rest of the World was crowned the winning team with 86 points with The Girls and Team Europe coming joint second with 63 points and Great Britain and Ireland finishing with 28 points.
