MULTIPLE green spaces have received prestigious awards for boasting good environmental standards and visitors satisfaction.

A total of six parks in Bracknell, in conjunction with Sandhurst Town Council, have received the green flag award for its quality and appearance.

The parks which received the award is Lily Hill Park, South Hill Park, Pope's Meadow, Snaprails Park, Westmorland Park, Shepherd Meadows and Sandhurst Memorial Park.

Councillor John Harrison, executive member for culture, delivery and public protection, said: "We are absolutely delighted to receive Green Flag Awards for six borough managed parks and are thrilled to hear that Sandhurst Town Council and Winkfield Parish Council were also successful in achieving Green Flag Awards again this year.

"We know how much quality green spaces matter to residents and visitors, and this award celebrates the dedication that goes into maintaining these important green spaces to such a high standard.”

The Bracknell parks are among a record-breaking 1,970 UK parks and green spaces and 131 in 13 other countries around the world, that received praise from Keep Britain Tidy.
