HIGHLY talented dancers took home three gold medals after battling against 54 countries at the Dance World Cup.

The Jayne A Coleman Academy of Dance, based at Pinewood Centre in Wokingham took part in the biggest dance competition in the world.

A total of eight medals were taken home by 38 dancers from the school, with groups performances in ballet, jazz, tap, song and dance winning three golds, four silvers and one bronze medal.

Jayne Coleman, who set up the academy are finding her passion in teaching dance, said: "This is a fantastic achievement from a part-time dance school.

"The competition includes some of the best full time dance schools in the world and the standard is extremely high so to be able to compete and stand out amongst such talent is truly wonderful - I am so proud of my pupils."

The dance school were chosen to take part as Team England and after taking home three gold medals, they are automatically invited to participate in the Gold Medal Winning Gala.

Next year, the Dance World Cup takes place in Rome Italy, where the school will be competing.
