A MAN who threatened members of staff to open a cash safe at a Ladbrokes betting shop is wanted for robbery.

At around 1.30pm on Monday (July 1) a man entered Ladbrokes on the High Street in Bracknell and threatened staff before taking a quantity of cash from the tills.

Staff refused to open the safe which resulted in the man running off towards the underpass that leads to Bracknell and Wokingham College.

The man is described as white, around 6ft 2ins tall, early to mid-30s and of medium build.

He was wearing a blue baseball cap, multi-coloured light blue, light green and yellow top and denim jeans.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Greig Williams, based at Maidenhead police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information that could assist us with this investigation to please come forward.

“Anyone with information can contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 43190198781 or make a report online.
