A swan was found injured in Langley Park Country Park last night.

Charity Swan Support wrote on social media to say it was called out to the Iver beauty spot yesterday (Wednesday) and found the male swan with a “nasty” wound to his head “consistent of a catapult”.

The charity wrote: “We hope to return him over the weekend after his treatment is finished. Thank you to all of the people that called us.”

The swan has a mate and six signets, and members of the public are being asked to keep an eye on his family while he is being treated.

It comes after a nesting swan was shot in the head at Langley's Grand Union Canal earlier this year.
