Two Amersham community groups came together and produced a puppet theatre for children at an Amersham school.
The Women’s Institute and Men in Sheds produced a show on the topic of seaside holidays to year one students at St Georges C of E Infant School.
The show included a suitcase full of artefacts that will support the children’s learning about seaside holiday traditions and the entertainment of years gone by.
Year 1 Class Teacher Mrs Debbie Flack said: "Year one children have been covering the Seaside as one of their topics this year, so the generous and thoughtful gift has coincided beautifully with our curriculum."
Head Teacher Mrs Beverley Accastello said: "The puppet theatre is simply beautiful! The kindness and generosity of both the WI and Men in Sheds is such a wonderful example for the children to see our school value of 'Community' working in action".
