TWO people have sustained serious injuries following a crash involving two lorries.
Police and three ambulances attended the scene of the crash on the A329m towards Reading.
A spokesman from South Central Ambulance Service said: "We received a 999 call 12:06 today with the caller reporting a serious collision between two flatbed lorries on the A3290 at Woodley.
"We sent three ambulances, a paramedic team leader in a rapid response vehicle and the London Air Ambulance to the incident.
"Two of the patients involved sustained serious injuries and have been taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford by road; the driver of that lorry has gone to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for further assessment.
"There was only one driver in the second vehicle involved and he was assessed and discharged at the scene."
Severe delays will be faced by drivers as road closures have been put in place.
Those travelling close by are being advised to avoid the area.
The incident happened on the carriageway near Winnersh.
