A Berkshire housebuilder has achieved a five-star customer satisfaction rating for a record breaking 14th consecutive year.

The awards, which are presented following an independent survey by the Home Builders Federation (HBF), are presented each year to homebuilders and measure the number of customers who would recommend the company to a friend.

McCarthy and Stone, the team behind Birch Place in Crowthorne and Queens Gate in Wokingham, are the only homebuilders to have picked up the award in each of the years since they started.

Kevin Sims, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone South East, said: “Five-star service is an integral part of our culture and we are continually striving to improve, with an absolute commitment to delivering the very best products and services for our customers. We are therefore delighted to receive this Five Star award from the HBF for an unprecedented 14th year in a row.

“Our long-term vision is to continue developing retirement communities that enrich the quality of life of our customers and their families, while also creating even deeper and longer relationships with all those who choose to downsize to a McCarthy and Stone development.

“The introduction of a new tiered service, the expansion of our care offering, the opening up developments for wider community use and integrating technology are just some of the ways we are improving our homes.

“This will be further strengthened as we continue to introduce multi tenure options, including shared ownership and rental at selected developments across the UK, alongside outright ownership.”

Stewart Baseley, Executive Chairman of the Home Builders Federation, said: “Getting a positive endorsement from the people who buy and live in the homes they build has to be the number one priority for a successful home builder.

“A five-star rating demonstrates quite clearly that the processes and culture put in place to achieve this are being implemented effectively across the business. Delivering such high levels of customer satisfaction should provide customers with real confidence in the company and the homes that they build.”
