A TEENAGER who was randomly punched in the face by a gang for his phone and bag, managed to escape with minor injuries.

The 18-year-old victim was walking through an alleyway between Pakenham Road and Ringmead in Bracknell at 11pm on June 4 when he was approached by a group of three men.

One man punched the victim in the face and another man tried to take his bag while threatening the victim for his phone.

He sustained minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Bracknell.

All three of the attackers are aged in their late teens to early 20s and wore black tracksuits with their faces covered.

The first attacker is a white man, around 5ft 7ins tall of a slim build. He was wearing a black tracksuit with black trainers and had his face covered.

The second attacker is described as a mixed race man, around 6ft tall and of a muscular build. He was also wearing a black tracksuit with his hood up, black gloves and black trainers and his face was covered.

Finally, the third offender is a white man, around 5ft 9ins tall. He was also wearing a black tracksuit with his hood up, black trainers and had his face covered.

All three men are aged in their late teens to early 20s and spoke with local accents.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Clare Hickman, based at Loddon Valley police station, said “This was an unprovoked attack on the victim.

“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information that could assist us with the investigation to please come forward.
