FIREFIGHTERS spent the day washing people's cars in a bid to raise money for a very worthy cause.
Bracknell Firestation joined forced with other fire stations across the UK to wash as many cars as possible and raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.
Sarah Cuthbert, Fire Fighters Charity Service coordinator, said: "As well as opening up our fire stations for local people to visit, these car washes provide much needed funding for worthy causes.
"We regularly hold car washes in support of the The Fire Fighters Charity, who provide a range of services all fire staff, retired fire service personnel, volunteers, chaplains and their families when they are in need.
"Firefighters at local stations often choose other local causes to support, in this case the Bracknell Air Cadets was chosen to share the proceeds and it was great to see so many of the cadets helping out on the day."
Residents brought their cars to the station for a car wash for a minimum donation of £5 to the charity.
The car wash took place from 10am to 4pm and also helped raised funds for the Bracknell Air Cadets.
Around £600 was raised for the two charities.
