A WEDDING ring with a personalised engraving has been returned to an 'extremely happy' owner.
Thames Valley Police issued an appeal to reunite the piece of jewellery, which was believed to have been stolen.
The yellow gold wedding band is engraved with the words ‘Lucy & Douglas 6.6.87’.
Police posted an update on Twitter on Friday afternoon, confirming the rightful owner had been found.
The force said: "Thank you to everyone for sharing our appeal about the stolen gold ring earlier today.
"The owner was extremely happy to be reunited with their ring."
