SOUTH Hill Park's new stylish venue was officially opened by the Mayor in an evening of celebrations last week.

The Mayor of Bracknell Forest, Councillor Alvin Finch marked the occasion of the new Coach House function room on May 15.

The 'quirky' new function room has been kitted out with its own private bar, in house catering service and a space to house over 100 guests.

Councillor Alvin Finch, said: "South Hill Park is definitely one of the main arteries that keeps the artistic and historical heart of Bracknell pumping."

Guests were invited to celebrate the opening of the new Coach house, which has already seen a 'flurry of bookings' according to the Bracknell Arts Centre.

The Mayor of Bracknell Town Council, Cllr Isabel Mattick also attended the celebrations, as well as Deputy Mayor Cllr Roger Meakes and South Hill Park's newly appointed chief executive Craig Titley.

South Hill Park also hosts other venue spaces in its Georgian mansion, with a Garden Room, Recital Room, Mirror Gallery, 60 seat cinema and Wilde Theatre auditorium.

The Coach House has its own bar and caters for events with over 130 guests.

Maria Trevis, head of marketing at South Hill Park, said: "The event was a success, impressing everyone with the new look Coach House.

"Some guests were already considering booking it for their birthday and anniversary celebrations - the space looked stunning."

Previously, the venue could only provide small events so they feel 'excited' with the new development.

Future events in the Coach House include public dinner jazz events and dining experiences.
