MEMBERS of Thames Valley Ancient Egypt Society (TVAES) celebrated the group's 25th anniversary recently.
A gathering was held on May 11, with wine and cakes decorated with the society's logo.
The first speaker of the society, George Hart, returned to deliver a lecture to a packed audience.
The theme was 'Pharaohs and Governors of Middle Egypt' and focussed on art and rulers of this period.
TVAES will hold their next meeting on June 1 at the Oakwood Centre in Woodley.
The meeting will focus on Ramesses II's beloved and beautiful Queen Nefertari, starting at 2pm.
