WOKINGHAM council are encouraging residents to take part in focus groups to discuss the plans relating to leisure centres across the Borough.

Places Leisure have been running leisure centres across the borough for one year and to mark the anniversary they are seeking volunteers to provide feedback on their service.

The leisure centres they run include Loddon Valley Leisure Centre, Carnival Pool Leisure Centre and St Crispin’s Leisure Centre.

Councillor John Halsall, said: “Places Leisure has put a lot of investment into our centres and will be carrying out further improvements but it is always important to get the customers’ views and these focus groups are a good opportunity for that.

“I urge those who use the centres or live nearby to sign up for one of the sessions to give us their views.”

During its first year, Places Leisure has invested £2million into Loddon Valley Leisure Centre to create a 1-station gym and a soft player that is expected to open later this month.

Another investment has led to the demolition and current rebuild of Bulmershe Leisure Centre and Carnival Pool Leisure Centre.

A series of focus groups have been organised to see what centre users think of these investments. The focus groups will be held across their operating leisure centres.
