A CHARITY shop in Wokingham is encouraging residents to donate items rather than throw them out in household rubbish.
The Blue Cross shop on Denmark Street is one of the many shops launching the appeal.
Jaye Cook, shop manager at the Blue Cross shop in Wokingham believes this is the best time of the year to have a clear out.
She said: “This is the perfect time of year for a clear out but please don’t just throw something away because you haven’t worn or used it in a while.
“We are always in need of stock at our shop and welcome clothing and household goods that we can sell in the shop to become a ‘new’ item for someone else and help thousands of pets in need at the same time.”
The sales of all the pre-loved quality items help thousands of homeless, abounded, sick and injured pets cared for by the charity each month.
In order to donate items residents are encouraged to bring them to the shop or pick up a special donation bag to fill up and return to the charity.
