Bucks’ emergency services are preparing to go head-to-head in a charity football match at the home of Wycombe Wanderers.

Bucks Fire will be hoping their big rematch against Thames Valley Police will see them fight back to a victory - after being trounced 5-0 last year.

This year’s event is set to take place at Adams Park on Sunday, May 12, from 11am to 4pm.

The charity football match will kick off at 2pm - but there is fun to be had off the pitch too, with a free family fun day.

Families will be able to meet with police officers, firefighters and paramedics, try out the sirens and lights and watch how a fire is put out.

Refreshments and a barbecue will be available but visitors are free to bring along a picnic to enjoy on the day.

As well as providing a fun day out, the event will help raise vital cash for charities.

Proceeds from donations on the day will go toward The Horse Trust, the Firefighters Charity and the Thames Valley Police Benevolent Fund.

Thames Valley Police’s Wycombe local policing team joked that “bragging rights are at stake”.
