NURSERY children in Bracknell have been taking part in an educational walk to improve their reading and writing of the English language.

The children from the Bright Horizons Forest Park Bracknell Day Nursery and Preschool in Winkfield Row recently walked to their local park in a bid to enhance their knowledge.

During the educational walk they were instructed to observe different street signs and names of all the streets along the journey.

She said: “We had a look at different letters and tried to see which ones we recognised and commented on which letters are in our own names.”

The walk was part of the nurseries emphasises on the importance of phonics as part of the children’s learning and to get them to read aloud.
